Through land, food, sound, story, senses and the multiplicity of ways of knowing, we explore eating as a practice of relationship with the places, people and living systems that sustain us. The evening asks what new cultures of inhabitation might emerge when we attend to and cultivate relationship with food and place. Our intention is to create an evening that reconnects us with where our food comes from, the people who grow it, and the importance of slowing down and experiencing food with presence.
Farmacy Chef, Olwyn, will be curating a four-course seasonal meal. Throughout the evening, Garwyn Linnell and Sound Travels will accompany each course with its own live soundscape, inspired by ancient folk traditions and weaving together voice, flutes, cello, drums, dombra and many more, with the music evolving alongside the meal.
