Sense Ability is a curatorial and cultural practice and consultancy creating place-responsive spaces rooted in local ecology, material culture, and heritage to cultivate regenerative cultures and environments. We introduce unique ways of gathering, learning, and experiencing place.
Our practice brings together spatial design that draws upon the senses, cultural programming, experience curation, facilitation, and place activation to create environments that are participatory, multisensory, and rooted in local context. We believe that environments profoundly shape how we feel, relate, remember, imagine, and participate in the world around us, and as such, we approach placemaking as a living ecosystem that engages the senses, draws from the cultural and material richness of a place, and evolves through collaboration with the people who inhabit it.
Through processes of co-creation, we cultivate spaces that foster connection, shared presence, and a deeper sense of belonging. We believe meaningful public spaces emerge through the investment of time, care, reciprocity, craft, and collective participation, strengthening relationships between people, place, and community.
